1. Product Overview
IS200EROCH1ABB (EROC) is the dedicated extension option board for GE EX2100 digital excitation systems for synchronous generators, installed in VME slots of generator excitation control cabinets, independent of Mark VI/VIe gas/steam turbine main control racks. It expands the core excitation controller’s control logic, implementing multi-set excitation limit functions (overexcitation, underexcitation, V/Hz, stator current, power factor). It provides dedicated interface signal channels for IS200ERGTH1A rotor ground fault detection board to monitor generator field winding insulation leakage resistance. Dual independent RS232 serial ports on front and rear panels support local/remote commissioning, parameter tuning, fault waveform capture and program download via laptop or handheld HMI. The board supplies isolated 24VDC excitation power to external analog signal terminal assemblies for voltage, current and temperature transducers, with multi-stage surge suppression and EMI filtering to resist high noise from thyristor power stages. On-board diagnostic circuit monitors supply voltage, ISBUS communication link and external ground detection loop status, records millisecond fault timestamps and fault codes retrievable via GE Toolbox software. Conformal coated PCB withstands high-temperature, high-humidity power plant cabinet environments.
